GOTS Achieves Recognition in Green Button 2.0 Scheme

Based on UN-ITC's recommendation, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has recognised GOTS as meeting the requirements for the production processes for the Green Button 2.0. GOTS can be used as proof for the areas of manufacturing and wet processes. Previously, it was already recognised as proof of the use of fibres and materials. GOTS' recognition allows approximately 60 Green Button companies to utilise the certification scheme to cover the meta-label requirements and provide consumers with guidance about independent, ambitious, and relevant certification labels in the textile market. BMZ expresses gratitude for GOTS' interest and contributions to the Green Button 2.0 recognition process.
